Sportspy : Committee note - September 2010

All clubs are well aware of the procedures regarding the requesting of postponements.  The well run club will look at the upcoming fixtures, canvass players re unavailability and if applicable, request a postponement within the established time frame via the proper channels.  If you don't follow the established procedure then you have to turn up and play.  Even a mass outbreak of swine flu would have to be certificated and evidenced.  The league are now cracking down hard on 'no shows'.  They already have one team in their sights for not turning up for a game.  The team in question are likely to incur the following sanctions; a £25 fine, a 3 point deduction, a £35 fine for the cost of the pitch and a £10 fine for the referees expenses.  This is going to be the standard punishment for any team that 'No shows' this season so think on!

Sportspy : No 4 Celtic FC looking for players

We are No.4 Celtic FC from Division 3 and despite being a well established side we have found ourselves struggling for players this season. We are seeking comitted players in all positions. Also, we'd be interested in any team that wants to share an astro turf pitch for training each week. We don't get the numbers to justify booking it solely for ourselves.  Thanks, Matt - n4celticfc@hotmail.com
