 | This morning I was hoping to follow Division 2A's Spindles FC to Preston where they were supposed to play Lea FC in the opening round of this season's Lancashire Sunday Trophy but like so many other games it was postponed due the recent incessant rain. Instead it was off to Commonedge Road where twelve sides were in league action. This venue often gets some deserved stick for the windy conditions but it's on days like today that the excellent drainage proves its real worth. |

BFSFA: Fixtures - September 14th 2008. |

 | Perhaps my favourite day of the season as the weekend's programme is dominated by Round 2 of this season's Gledhill Cup. Here's hoping for a few shocks. Here are all of the fixtures courtesy of the BFSFA. Please note that as the Lancashire Sunday Trophy takes priority teams who's opening round matches were postponed at the weekend can assume that they'll be playing them on the 14th. Further details to follow when we get them from fixtures secretary Carole Cox. |

 | Here are the provisional results from this morning's weather affected programme of league and Cup action courtesy of the BFSFA. Due to holiday commitments there will be no classified check (Including scorers) or updated tables on fyldesport for the next two Sundays. The tables have already been updated on the sister site.  | Apologies for the late results - yesterday was my last day off after three weeks holiday so I made the most of it and fell into an alcoholic stupor.
Important: It's now official that ALL Sunday's games on Wyre pitches at Broadwater, Fleetwood Road, Thornton, Thornton Sports Centre and Cottam Hall have been called off by the council.
Just two results from last night in what was probably the final midweek programme before the Spring. League tables now updated. |
